Life is a blur

Well, it's official...my blog sucks. I can't believe it's almost been a month since I wrote a new post :[ I thought I was going to be writing on here like every single day like all the other cute blogs I read, but no. Turns out it's pretty uninspiring to write a blog that no one reads. Blehhh. So for the 2 or 3 people that probably read my blog here's what we did for Halloween....

Sophia was Esmeralda from the Hunchback of Notre Dame.... super super cute :] we went trick-or-treating in our new neighborhood which turned out to be totally lame-bummer! So we changed plans and went to my moms neighborhood to finish up. We also dressed up in our costume and went down to Chipotle to get some $2 burritos-SCORE!

A view days before Halloween night we had a cute little Halloween party at our new place :]

My husband and I were Joker and Harley Quinn...it was his turn to choose the outfits :]

Other then that all of October has just been a blur. Time is just flying by for us the past couple of months and I don't see it slowing down anytime soon now that the holidays are here! Promise to write as often as I can :]

Motherhood....

Before I ever became a mommy I always had this perfect little picture of how motherhood would be. You know all the crap you see on movies or in magazines, like model babies being all perfect and cuddly and sweet. HILARIOUS. Just in case anyone is reading this and you are not a mom yet, just go ahead and leave this blog because I am about to ruin your little vision of motherhood right now....

So it's 12:45 at night right and I am on puke watch for Sophia. Earlier tonight she passed out in my bed while I was still at work and Johnny was cleaning up our bedroom (really strange she doesn't fall asleep until we lay her down) Later Johnny goes to bed and I'm still up on the computer when I hear Johnny shouting my name so I run to the room and Sophia is laying on her back vomiting all over her self (poor baby) so I shove Johnny out of the way sit her up and let her throw up in my hands (yay!) My poor kid is so confused and has no clue whats going on or why she's sleeping in my bed, I kick Johnny out of the room and start yanking the sheets of the bed.

Quick side story....many years ago I reluctantly let Johnny give up his vomit duties, he always ends up getting grossed out by it and starts vomiting too and then we have double the mess to clean up. So don't hate on Johnny, normally he would totally help me with this stuff but honestly it's just easier to send him out of the room and take care of it myself.

So where were we? Oh ya, there is puke all over my bed, in my kids hair (which goes all the way to her butt) and all over her jammies. Great. So I stick her in the bathtub for a second, gather up all the sheets and blankets and throw them in the wash, and then start washing the puke chunks out of Sophia's hair. How did my life come to this??? Seriously if you would have told me 10 years ago that when I was 21 years old I would be cleaning up someone else's puke I would have laughed in your face. Do you see the irony in this???

Honestly though no matter how much it sucks, I would clean up puke every single day for that little girl. I even kissed her little vomit-smelling cheek when she threw up five minutes after I gave her a bath.
But right now she passed out in her bed and hopefully the vomiting is over for good (cross your fingers, knock on wood)

Do you have any disgusting stories like this??? I swear I have a million more.... and my kid is only four!!

New House

Well, we are FINALLLLLYYYY in the new house as of Tuesday the 18th and it has officially been the craziest month of my life *knock on wood* I know I promised some pictures so I'm going to post a bunch today woo hoo!! So here are some before pictures of the hideous paint in the rooms and the ugly backyard....

The backyard still looks like this :( but that's our next project!

Here is the office and this picture doesn't even do the room justice. They did such a horrible paint job in here (and all the other rooms) there was paint on the tile, ceilings and closet doors. There were also some hideous mirrors like glued to the walls and it was just a mess.

Here's Sophia's room, again this picture makes it look so much better then it actually is and the blue was so much brighter in person.

And finally the master bedroom all American Pride looking. In this room someone literally scrapped their fingers across the wet paint and left the finger marks there. What a hideous master bedroom.

Here's Sophia's room after we painted, we kept it blue since it's her favorite color but went with a nice light shade and I love it :]

This is the office we painted it grey and I am SOOOO happy with it :]

We decided to do the master bedroom the same grey as the office, and now this is my favorite room of the house :] This color is called anonymous by Behr. It's the same color as the office but I took these pics on my phone at night so the lighting is all weird.

Muchhhh better then the ugly different shades of red and blue, and the quality of the  paint is much better to :]

Now the living room which was a hideous pee yellow....

It's now a nice neutral light brown that goes much better with our furniture and decorations. I don't have a picture right now but I'll get one up ASAP.

So it's still definitely a work in progress, we still have some unpacking to do and the only room that has any decorations right now is Miss Sophia's room....but were getting there! LOOOVVEEE having a house finally! Even though the backyard is hideous right now I am just thankful to have one-and so is Gizmo.

Hang in there there will be more pictures to see soon.

M.I.A

OH MY GOSHHHH. I am officially the worst blogger in the universe, I can't even remember the last time I wrote a new post :[ Sorry to anyone out there that actually reads this thing. But I really do have some good excuses for being M.I.A. I promise.

#1 reason is that we got approved for a rental house!!!! YAYYYY!! And let me tell you how insane the process was, we looked at a bunch of different houses, applied for some only to get denied because they had already approved someone else. Then FINALLY we sneak our application in before anyone else can on this house and it takes TWO WEEEEEEKKKKSS for them to approve us. RIDICULOUS. The woman at the property management said it would take 1-2 days. Lying troll bitch. Anyway, we finally get approved and now we have been back and fourth getting the house ready before we move on Tuesday. I'll be posting pictures soon :]

#2 Reason is that for the past two weeks I've been in and out of the hospital and doctors offices because I had a miscarriage. I was debating whether or not to talk about this on here all week long. But I figured tons of people in the world have suffered the same thing and it's ok to talk about it. I'm not going into to detail, but bascially we have had the month from hell and are just trying to get through the days however we can.

On top of those major things happening we have still been working full time, packing, taking care of Sophie and pretending like our lives are perfectly normal.

So thanks for sticking with me if you're a reader. I promise to be back posting everyday as soon as we get all moved in. ANDDD I'll have fun pictures of the new changes we're making to the house!

Foooodddd

So lately I have been pinning tons of recipes for food and trying them out. And let me tell you guys- pinterest is better then any cookbook I've ever read. And most the time all the recipes I find are from someone else's blog, who tried the recipe tons of times and perfected it, so you don't usually have to switch anything up. Pinterest is making me into quite the little chef. So here are some of my favorites:

Mexican DORITOS Casserole...

This recipe is seriously dangerous and you absolutely HAVE to make it...like tonight. Unless you don't like Doritos, cheese and the taste of heaven in your mouth. HA!
This is where you can find the recipe, she has tons of other recipes too-yum!

My next favorite is Crockpot cream cheese chicken chili (what a mouthful!)

Haha, can you tell I have been craving Mexican food and lots of cheese lately?? We LOVED this recipe and it's a little healthier then the Dorito one above.
You can find this recipe here.

And finally this super yummy recipe that I have been making myself for breakfast every morning :]

You guys HAVE to check out this website for lots of different overnight oatmeal recipes, she has like 16 different ideas. And they are all yummy and SUPER healthy, which balances out the dorito dinner I'm about to devour! You can find the recipes here.

Do you guys have any DELISH (but easy, because I'm a newbie) recipes I should try out?? We pretty much eat anything in our house, except for seafood, so I know there are tons of good recipes out there!

I have this fantasy that one day I'll be a really awesome cook and when my kids grow up they'll be like "Ohhh mom, you HAVE to make you Dorito casserole dish when all my friends come over!" Or my in-laws will say, let's go over to Steph and Johnny's house she makes the yummiest food! Maybe I'm crazy, but I think it's the best compliment when people love your food...So ever since we got married I've been on a mission to become an awesome chef! It's gunna happen people, I'm gunna be the next Pioneer woman or something!!

On another note, I've still been doing my hair daily (I PROMISE!) I just haven't been taking pictures of myself because #1 I've been breaking out like crazy since I got preggers and #2 We've been seriously busy and I don't have the time :/

Thank god for my kid

Please excuse me if this post ends up with tons of typos or doesn't make any sense at all.... I'm posting from my phone today, while sitting at the mall play place letting Sophia "get her crazies out" as she likes to call it. Poor kid has been here alot in the past few weeks because I have absolutely NO energy to speak of and can't even entertain the poor girl. So we come here almost everyday so she can run around like a crazy person with other kids her age. AND she doesnt have to be couped up in the house all day with her boring mommy. Am I just an awful mom, or do you guys do this with your kids too?

Normally I would take her on a walk, a bike ride or just a trip to the park for an hour or so. But it's unbearably hot outside and I swear i'm having like pregnancy hot flashes or something, WTF?? Anyone else out there ever go through that while pregnant? Cuz I for sure don't remember it from last time....

Anyway, despite my laziness I'm still managing to get alot done, thanks to Sophia. I swear this kid keeps me alive sometimes! The other day we were running around doing 100 things, and I had to simultaneously get Sophia in her dance class outfit, pack her a bag to spend the night at my moms, get dinner in the crockpot and get myself ready for work, all in like 30 minutes. So what does Sophia do? Gets all her dance clothes on, packs a bag for herself including panties, janmies, an outfit for the next day, shoes AND a toy to sleep with. Ya. My kid rocks. Every time we get out of the car she reminds me to put the sun shade in front of the windshield so we don't croak when we get back in the car later. I ALWAYS forget to do that.

Sophia's been my spouse lately since my other one is gone at work or sleeping 24/7 (which by the way is ending today!!) So thank god for my awesome little girl, for helping me and loving me and keeping me posotive through such a crappy few weeks.

Craziness and an announcement

Ohhhh my goodness I have had the week from hell! My husband has been working insane amount of overtime (like 14 hours a day, 7 days a week :o) so I have been a single mom for the past week doing a million things at once AND making sure he has a nice hot meal and a back rub to come home to. My poor hubby is exhausted, he literally wakes up at 5:30 gets ready for work, works till 8:30, comes home eats dinner, takes a shower and then flops on the bed and dies for the rest of night. Only to wake up and do it all over again the next day. And on top of all that I'm still working a full time job, taking Sophia back and fourth from daycare and dance classes, making dinner, going grocery shopping, running all the errands, taking care of the mutt, etc. etc. etc.... I'm exhausted. AND cranky. But I have a pretty good reason for all that, that I'll get to later. THANK GOD this is only going to last for two weeks, I'm already over it.

Because of this insane week I've had, I've been slacking on the hair resolution just a tad :/ I gave up completely for a few days and just rocked my natural curls...

Everyone always likes my hair like this, so I didn't feel as guilty as I thought. But tomorrow it's back to the resolution.

Now for the big news, I'll let Sophia do the honors...

I'M PREGNANT!!! Ahhhhh. Which is totally why I'm an emotional wreck this week, on top of all the craziness. I was already exhausted from the pregnancy before all this over-time crap started, now it's ten times worse. Anddd my whole body just hates me. I don't remember feeling like this last time :/

Anyway, we told our families and they were all super excited! We announced it to our friends, via this cute picture ^ on Facebook. We are totally geeky excited to have another baby (and a bit scared haha) And despite the cute picture Sophia actually has no clue. That's just her normal cuteness, posing for the camera. We're going to wait a while to tell her, I don't need her asking me everyday when her new sibling is gunna pop out. HA!

The Sock Bun

So after seeing lots of people doing this cute hairstyle, and seeing it all over on pinterest I decided me and Sophia need to try it out. This is what Sophia's buns used to look like...

And here's the sock bun....

Much more princessy right? Anddd it's a little crooked because someone wouldnt put their head straight, but who cares.

Here a picture of mine, before it fell out like 2 seconds later....

I think my hair is too layered to do this right now :[ maybe next summer.
If you haven't heard of this cute 'do yet and you wanna try it, watch this video on how to do it. Next I need to get some glitter hair spray like in the video. Sophia would die.

Cruising to Cabo

So we are finally on the cruise ship YAY! We are like asian tourists on this huge boat, looking at everything the whole way up to the boat and even when we get inside. Cruise ships are so amazing. We get to our cute little room and unpack everything for the week, so that's out of the way. Here's some pics of our room.

Oh ya my mom called our cruise line ahead of time and had them decorate it all HAPPY HONEYMOON style, which was totally cheesy and amazing, mom rocks.

So the first two days were just "days at sea". Each day the cruise people give you an agenda of what is going on around the cruise ship throughout the day. It includes all kinds of fun stuff like, bingo games, dance performances, a comedy show art shows and more. And on top of all that theres also pools and Jacuzzis, tons of food to eat, and of course a gorgeous view to sit on the deck and stare at for hours. I think the whole first afternoon and night we spent all of our time just walking around the cruise ship looking at all the different stuff they have to offer, and eating dinner.

Us in the elevator going up to dinner the first night :]
Beautiful right??

Exploring the ship the second day...

This is from the top deck looking down.
We really just relaxed, slept alot (seriously this time) and stuffed our faces with free food. OMG the food! I seriously crave things that we ate on that cruise ship all the time, I wish I would have taken more pictures but I'm such a chucky butt I couldn't possibly wait one more minute to pull out my camera and take a picture before I devoured my food :]

You see all that food? No wonder I gained all the wedding weight back!

The next day it was finally our first day in Cabo! So we got up nice and early, got ready and waited for our tender boat number to be called so we could get to Cabo.

Beautiful :]

And the drinking age there is only 18 so Johnny got right to it and ordered a beer

And then a pina colada to share :]

And we went to Cabo Wabo, and shared THE BEST chicken and cheese quesadilla I have ever had.

We didn't have a whole lot of spending money, so we mostly walked around and checked things out, acted silly, sat on the beach, shopped around for souveniers, bought lots of stuff for Sophie, and just relaxed.

We ordered yummy drinks...

And a mexican guy tried to put a bearded dragon on Johnny's head.

And then tried to charge me $2 for snapping this picture.....

Then it was time to go back to the cruise ship for the night.

The next morning we decided we would use the rest of our honeymoon money on renting a jet ski. Now the cruise ship only warned us about a few things before going in to Mexico, and two of them were don't rent a jet ski, and get in a water taxi to take you to the beach. Well after watching hundreds of people from our cruise do this on the first day, we decided we were going to be rebellious and take a water taxi to the beach where they rent out the jet skis. And it was the best thing we did the entire honeymoon. Of course, I've been on a jet ski plenty of times as a kid but not with Johnny :] And of  course he had never been on one either.

It was amazingly pretty out there, you couldn't just walk over to the "Lover's Arch" you had to go on an expensive boat excursion that would probably bore us to death. But we took the jet ski right over there.

Then we lounged on the beach for a while....

We ordered a few more legal drinks and headed back to the cruise ship to stuff our faces with delicious food and get bundled up to sit on the cruise deck for the rest of the night.

The next day we had a day at sea, where we lounged around some more, ate too much food and did some stuff around the cruise ship. And then after that we were ready to leave our little paradise on water :( But I was ready to get back to my little princess and our new married life together!

Before we went to go get Sophia, we stopped at our tattoo place and got matching tattoos that we had been planning for a while....

Our wedding date :]
Mine on my wrist, his on his forearm.

Then we went to my mom's to pick up Sophie, went with them out to dinner to share the stories about or trip and give everyone the gifts we found for them in Mexico.
